Reference USB. 25 mm Air Helix. A to B.

The USB-2405 AIR applies the full 25 mm Air Helix architecture to USB audio connections. Its symmetrical construction with Cross Link Super Speed waveguides and 90-ohm wave impedance delivers bit-perfect data from computer or streamer to DAC, while dense tin-plated copper braid shielding blocks electromagnetic interference. USB A to USB B connectors feature 180-degree rotation mechanisms and rhodium-plated tellurium copper contacts for minimal contact resistance. Hand-assembled in Germany.
Symmetrical construction with conductors suspended in air — zero dielectric losses for jitter-free USB audio transmission.
Precisely controlled impedance ensures signal integrity across the USB 2.0 High Speed (480 Mbit/s) specification.
Braided conductor structure with lacquer-coated wires prevents eddy currents for clean, detailed digital audio.
USB A and USB B connectors rotate for stress-free installation, with rhodium-plated tellurium copper contacts.
Air is the perfect insulator.
Now in its fifth generation, AIR technology uses air as the primary dielectric instead of traditional plastics like PVC. Conductors run freely suspended through the cable via precision-engineered clips at defined intervals, reducing capacitance by approximately 83% compared to standard cables. The Point-to-Point Air Helix architecture extends this principle from connector to connector for almost loss-free signal transmission.
Eliminating eddy currents at high frequencies.
Cross Link Super Speed waveguides are hand-threaded into the cable structure to prevent eddy current effects at high frequencies. This preserves the full detail and extension of the audio signal across the entire audible spectrum, ensuring transients remain sharp and high-frequency information arrives intact.
Overlapping fields, lower inductance.
in-akustik's multicore conductor arrangements use four-fold structures where the overlapping magnetic fields of individual conductors deliberately cancel each other out. This reduces inductance and minimises the skin effect at high frequencies, delivering a more neutral, dynamic frequency response.
Air insulation for digital data.
Specialised clips form a supporting framework inside the 25 mm diameter cable, holding signal pairs in a helical shape at defined distances, freely suspended in air. Two connecting bridges keep clips evenly spaced while maintaining flexibility. Air as the dielectric eliminates capacitance and dielectric losses entirely, reducing jitter and ensuring bit-perfect data transmission from connector to connector.
