From the flagship CAT-2405 AIR and USB-2405 AIR with their 25 mm Air Helix construction, to the conventionally built CAT 8.1 and CAT 7 with triple-layer shielding, every cable is hand-assembled and individually tested in Germany.

AIR Helix Point-to-Point
Air insulation for digital data.
Specialised clips form a supporting framework inside the 25 mm diameter cable, holding signal pairs in a helical shape at defined distances, freely suspended in air. Two connecting bridges keep clips evenly spaced while maintaining flexibility. Air as the dielectric eliminates capacitance and dielectric losses entirely, reducing jitter and ensuring bit-perfect data transmission from connector to connector.
Hyper Shield
Triple-layer shielding for conventional builds.
For cables where Air Helix construction is not used, in-akustik employs Hyper Shield — a three-fold shielding system combining an overall screening mesh with individual foil shielding per data pair. This provides exceptional electromagnetic interference protection in a conventional cable diameter, meeting CAT 8.1 and CAT 7 specifications with margin to spare.
