in-akustik Streaming Cables
Flagship ethernet. 25 mm Air Helix. CAT 8.1.

The CAT-2405 AIR is in-akustik's flagship ethernet cable, wrapping CAT 8.1 specification (2000 MHz bandwidth, 40 Gbit/s) inside the full 25 mm Air Helix architecture. Specialised clips suspend four twisted pairs helically in air, eliminating conventional dielectric material entirely. Cross Link Super Speed waveguides and dense tin-plated copper braid shielding with individual foil shields per pair ensure bit-perfect data transmission with minimal jitter. RJ45 connectors with 180-degree rotation mechanism and gold-plated brass contacts allow stress-free installation. Hand-assembled in Germany.
Four twisted pairs suspended helically in air via precision clips — zero dielectric losses, minimal capacitance, reduced jitter.
Exceeds CAT 8.1 specification with 2000 MHz bandwidth and 40 Gbit/s data rate for future-proof network audio streaming.
Braided conductor structure with individual wire lacquer coating prevents eddy currents for jitter-free digital transmission.
Each connector rotates +/- 45 degrees (90 degrees total between both ends) with gold-plated brass IDC contacts.
Air is the perfect insulator.
Now in its fifth generation, AIR technology uses air as the primary dielectric instead of traditional plastics like PVC. Conductors run freely suspended through the cable via precision-engineered clips at defined intervals, reducing capacitance by approximately 83% compared to standard cables. The Point-to-Point Air Helix architecture extends this principle from connector to connector for almost loss-free signal transmission.
Eliminating eddy currents at high frequencies.
Cross Link Super Speed waveguides are hand-threaded into the cable structure to prevent eddy current effects at high frequencies. This preserves the full detail and extension of the audio signal across the entire audible spectrum, ensuring transients remain sharp and high-frequency information arrives intact.
Overlapping fields, lower inductance.
in-akustik's multicore conductor arrangements use four-fold structures where the overlapping magnetic fields of individual conductors deliberately cancel each other out. This reduces inductance and minimises the skin effect at high frequencies, delivering a more neutral, dynamic frequency response.
Air insulation for digital data.
Specialised clips form a supporting framework inside the 25 mm diameter cable, holding signal pairs in a helical shape at defined distances, freely suspended in air. Two connecting bridges keep clips evenly spaced while maintaining flexibility. Air as the dielectric eliminates capacitance and dielectric losses entirely, reducing jitter and ensuring bit-perfect data transmission from connector to connector.
