Grado Cartridges
Sapphire precision. Copper warmth.

The Aeon3 shares the Epoch3's sapphire cantilever, elliptical diamond stylus, cocobolo wood housing, and Swiss-machined Flux-Bridger generator — but winds its coils with ultra-high-purity copper rather than gold. The result is a subtly different tonal character: warmer, earthier, while retaining the extraordinary resolution and tracking ability of the Lineage platform. Controlled frequency response extends from 5 Hz to 70 kHz with 35 dB channel separation and 1.0 mV output. Each Aeon3 sees final assembly by John Grado at his Brooklyn workbench.
The same sapphire/diamond combination as the Epoch3 — extraordinary rigidity, minimal mass, and the most accurate groove contact possible.
Ultra-high-purity copper coils deliver a warmer, earthier tonal signature compared to the Epoch3's gold — with the same Swiss-machined Flux-Bridger precision.
Hand-selected cocobolo wood with optimised mass distribution — the same housing and curing process as the flagship Epoch3.
Every Aeon3 sees final assembly by John Grado himself at his Brooklyn workbench — the same hands, the same tradition, since 1953.
A design no other manufacturer matches.
While most cartridges use moving magnets or moving coils, Grado's moving iron design moves a tiny iron element through a fixed magnetic and coil assembly. This produces a generator with very low moving mass — for fast transient response — combined with a high output voltage that drives any phono stage with ease. The result is a warm, detailed, and dynamically alive presentation.
