in-akustik Audio Cables
Reference digital cable. 25 mm Air Helix. 75/110 ohm.

The Digital-2405 AIR applies the full 25 mm Air Helix architecture to digital audio connections. Its double-symmetrical construction with Cross Link Super Speed waveguides and dense tin-plated copper braid shielding ensures bit-perfect data transmission with minimal jitter. Available in RCA (S/PDIF coaxial, 75 ohm) and XLR (AES/EBU, 110 ohm) — the RCA version features solderless pressure-grouted connectors with rhodium-coated tellurium copper contacts, while the XLR version offers 180-degree rotatable plugs. Hand-assembled in Germany.
Double-symmetrical construction with conductors suspended in air — zero dielectric losses for jitter-free digital audio transmission.
75 ohm (RCA/S/PDIF) or 110 ohm (XLR/AES-EBU) — precisely matched to digital audio standards for bit-perfect signal integrity.
32 high-purity copper wires braided around a PE core with thin lacquer coating prevents eddy currents for clean digital transmission.
RCA SL with rhodium-coated tellurium copper contacts pressure-grouted at 1.5 tonnes; XLR with 180-degree rotatable plugs.
Air is the perfect insulator.
Now in its fifth generation, AIR technology uses air as the primary dielectric instead of traditional plastics like PVC. Conductors run freely suspended through the cable via precision-engineered clips at defined intervals, reducing capacitance by approximately 83% compared to standard cables. The Point-to-Point Air Helix architecture extends this principle from connector to connector for almost loss-free signal transmission.
Eliminating eddy currents at high frequencies.
Cross Link Super Speed waveguides are hand-threaded into the cable structure to prevent eddy current effects at high frequencies. This preserves the full detail and extension of the audio signal across the entire audible spectrum, ensuring transients remain sharp and high-frequency information arrives intact.
Overlapping fields, lower inductance.
in-akustik's multicore conductor arrangements use four-fold structures where the overlapping magnetic fields of individual conductors deliberately cancel each other out. This reduces inductance and minimises the skin effect at high frequencies, delivering a more neutral, dynamic frequency response.
Three-axis rotation. 1.5 tonnes of force. Zero solder.
in-akustik's 360-degree BFA banana and spade lug connectors move across three axes, making connection and disconnection effortless while preventing cable stress. Instead of soldering, which introduces additional metal alloys and weak points, each connector is pressure-grouted at 1.5 tonnes of force — creating a gas-tight, vibration-resistant bond. BFA bananas use beryllium copper with solid metal housings, while spade lugs use tellurium copper, both rhodium-coated for lasting conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Fifth-generation air insulation, from plug to plug.
The AIR Helix design suspends conductors in a helical arrangement through the cable using specially engineered clips at precise intervals. Air replaces traditional plastic insulation as the primary dielectric, reducing capacitance by approximately 83%. The fifth-generation Point-to-Point innovation extends this architecture from connector to connector, with specialised transitions for each plug-cable combination eliminating the last remaining sections of conventional insulation.
