From the flagship NF-4005 AIR with its 40 mm diameter Air Helix architecture to the compact NF-204 Micro AIR, each cable is built around the same principle: air is the best insulator. Available in both RCA and XLR configurations, with pure copper or pure silver conductors — never mixed — and terminated with rhodium-coated, pressure-grouted connectors. Hand-assembled in Germany with individually tested connections.
AIR Helix Point-to-Point
Fifth-generation architecture where conductors run freely suspended through the cable via precision clips, using air as the primary dielectric from connector to connector.
Micro AIR Architecture
Diamond-shaped air chambers between concentric copper conductors reduce capacitance while maintaining the low impedance needed for line-level signals.
Double Mono Design
Each channel runs as a completely separate cable with its own shielding, eliminating crosstalk between left and right channels.
360 Degree Connectors
Three-axis rotation BFA connectors with beryllium or tellurium copper contacts, rhodium-coated for lasting conductivity. Pressure-grouted at 1.5 tonnes — no solder in the signal path.

Every Reference and Excellence cable is hand-assembled at the Ballrechten-Dottingen facility with pre-, during-, and post-assembly quality inspection.

AIR Helix Point-to-Point
Fifth-generation air insulation, from plug to plug.
The AIR Helix design suspends conductors in a helical arrangement through the cable using specially engineered clips at precise intervals. Air replaces traditional plastic insulation as the primary dielectric, reducing capacitance by approximately 83%. The fifth-generation Point-to-Point innovation extends this architecture from connector to connector, with specialised transitions for each plug-cable combination eliminating the last remaining sections of conventional insulation.
Micro AIR
Air insulation in a compact, flexible format.
Micro AIR technology creates complex diamond-shaped structures within the cable that form tiny air chambers between the concentric copper conductors. This increases conductor spacing and air content without the physical bulk of full AIR Helix construction, reducing capacitance while maintaining the low impedance necessary for line-level signal transmission. The result is a more compact, flexible cable that brings genuine air-dielectric benefits to a wider range of systems.
PE Insulation
Low-capacitance polyethylene for clean signal transfer.
in-akustik's Excellence series uses precision-extruded polyethylene dielectric instead of PVC, significantly reducing capacitance and dielectric absorption compared to standard cable insulation. Combined with double-symmetrical conductor geometry and multi-fold shielding, PE insulation delivers a clean, detailed signal path in a more accessible format.
