T+A Amplifiers
Reference preamplifier. Double-mono. 100V HV.

The P 3100 HV is T+A's dedicated reference preamplifier — a double-mono design where each channel occupies its own identical circuit board beneath the top cover, separated by thick aluminum shielding from the power supply section. Operating at up to 100V — the highest HV voltage in the preamplifier range — its differential cascode amplifier with hand-selected J-FET transistors processes signals up to 80 Vss without distortion. Pure DC coupling throughout eliminates coupling capacitors from the signal path. Channel separation exceeds 108 dB. Designed to drive the A 3000 HV, M 40 HV, or any power amplifier with absolute transparency.
Completely separate, identical circuit boards for each channel with thick aluminum shielding — channel separation exceeds 108 dB.
The highest HV operating voltage in the preamp range, processing signals up to 80 Vss without distortion using hand-selected J-FET differential cascode topology.
No coupling capacitors anywhere in the signal path — input stage, volume control, and output stage are all DC-coupled for zero phase shift and total transparency.
Discrete precision resistors switched by gold-contact relays with temperature compensation — no potentiometer in the signal path.
The absolute reference.
T+A's flagship amplifiers operate at dramatically higher voltages than conventional designs — up to 360V in power stages. This forces the audio signal into the most linear region of each transistor's operating curve, achieving tube-like naturalness with solid-state power and bandwidth. Fully discrete construction with individually selected J-FET transistors, gold-contact relay switching, and double-mono architecture. The pinnacle of T+A engineering.
