Lockwood Loudspeakers
The broadcast monitor, at bookshelf scale.

The Mini is a two-way stand-mount built around a 10-inch point-source driver, originally developed for accurate monitoring where a full-size cabinet would not fit. It has been used for exactly that by the BBC, ITV and Neve Electronics. Despite the compact enclosure it delivers impressive dynamics, a sublime midrange and a beautifully natural high-frequency presentation, with the reach-out-and-touch imaging that made Lockwood's larger monitors famous.

Hand-built from premium components with a crossover design that delivers an exceptionally clean signal path.
Hand-built, and kept out of the way.
Every model in the range uses the Lockwood A Series crossover — hand-built from premium components and wired internally with OFC cable. The design goal is a signal path short and clean enough that the drive unit is the only thing shaping the sound.
18 mm birch ply, built in the UK.
Cabinets are made from 18 mm birchwood ply using construction techniques refined over nearly a century — vented on the Major and LE1, infinite baffle elsewhere — then finished in walnut veneer, or in any Pantone colour on the Universal Stanley models. The enclosure is treated as part of the acoustic design rather than a box to put a driver in.
