Every Pistonik unit is laser-measured at the factory and given its own Exakt profile by serial number, corrected to within 0.0625 dB of reference. The hard aluminium diaphragm is rigid enough that its break-up modes sit well above the frequencies it reproduces. Pairs of 360 built before April 2026 can be retrofitted with Pistonik units in your own listening room — about two hours' work, keeping the cabinet and finish you already own.

Organik uses a proprietary Pulse Width Modulation Delta-Sigma modulator combined with a discrete Analogue Finite Impulse Response (AFIR) conversion stage — an approach that eliminates the distortion caused by switching-time errors and resistor-value tolerances found in conventional discrete DAC designs. The 8-layer PCB is meticulously engineered with clock traces matched to within fractions of a millimetre, discrete regulators feeding conversion stages via multiple internal power planes, and an ultra-stable master clock. The result is analogue output with noise and distortion levels far lower than anything Linn has previously achieved, delivering a sense of naturalness and musical presence that reveals details hidden by lesser converters.

In a conventional speaker system, the analogue crossover network splits the signal into frequency bands for each driver — but passive components introduce phase shifts, time smearing, and amplitude errors that blur the original recording. Exakt moves the entire crossover process into the digital domain, applying mathematically precise filters before the signal is converted to analogue at each individual drive unit. Because the signal remains lossless until the very last moment, every frequency arrives at your ears at exactly the right time. Exakt-enabled systems are also individually optimised at the factory, with each speaker's unique driver characteristics measured and compensated for, ensuring that no two units share the same generic crossover — every Exakt speaker is calibrated to its own components.

Room acoustics are the single biggest source of coloration in any hi-fi system. Standing waves, boundary reflections, and modal resonances can boost certain bass frequencies by as much as 20 dB while cancelling others entirely — problems that no amount of speaker repositioning fully solves. Space Optimisation uses a computational model of your specific room, taking into account wall materials, floor type, ceiling height, furniture, and the exact coordinates of each speaker. It then calculates precise digital filters that counteract the room's acoustic signature in real time. Unlike generic room-correction systems that rely on microphone measurements (which capture only one listening position), Space Optimisation works from first principles of acoustic physics — meaning it improves sound across the entire room, not just at a single sweet spot. Configuration is done through the Linn account system, and updates can be applied whenever furniture moves or speakers are repositioned.

Class AB amplifiers offer the efficiency of Class B with the low-distortion characteristics of Class A — but only when the bias point is set perfectly. In practice, the optimal bias current drifts as transistors age and as temperature changes during a listening session. Conventional designs set a fixed bias at the factory and accept the resulting degradation over time. Adaptive Bias Control continuously monitors the output transistors' operating point by digitising and sampling the current flowing through them many thousands of times per second. A feedback loop dynamically adjusts the bias current to maintain the ideal operating point regardless of temperature, signal level, or component ageing. The result is an amplifier that delivers the same crossover-distortion-free performance on day one as it does after a decade of use — something no fixed-bias design can achieve.
