Tannoy Prestige Series
Prestige sound, versatile placement.

The Stirling Gold Reference delivers the full Prestige experience from a compact 85-litre cabinet — ideal for medium to large rooms where a smaller footprint is required without compromising on Dual Concentric performance. The 10-inch driver with neodymium-powered Tulip WaveGuide and 25 mm aluminium-alloy dome achieves 91 dB sensitivity and response from 39 Hz to 46 kHz. Dual front-firing port slats allow near-wall placement, and the crossover at 1.8 kHz features ±3 dB treble adjustment with five 24ct gold binding posts for bi-wiring.
Neodymium motor with 25 mm aluminium-alloy dome and edge-wound voice coil — 91 dB sensitivity and response to 46 kHz.
Dual front-firing ports allow placement close to the rear wall without bass boom — versatile room integration.
Deep Cryogenically Treated crossover with ±3 dB treble adjustment — five 24ct gold binding posts including ground terminal for bi-wiring.
Oiled walnut veneer with solid walnut details on a compact, extensively braced plywood cabinet — fits where larger Prestige models cannot.
One source. Perfect coherence.
First introduced in 1947, Tannoy's Dual Concentric driver places a high-frequency unit acoustically at the centre of the bass/midrange cone. The result is a true point source — one that produces perfect time and phase alignment across all frequencies, delivering a natural, three-dimensional soundstage with a remarkably wide sweet spot that conventional multi-way speakers cannot replicate.
Precision dispersion control.
The Tulip WaveGuide acts as a phase plug controlling the propagation and dispersion of the high-frequency driver, integrating it seamlessly with the bass/midrange cone across the crossover region. Using a dedicated neodymium magnet circuit, it exposes the entire diaphragm to the horn with a 1:1 ratio — no compression — ensuring the Dual Concentric maintains its point-source characteristic across a wide listening area.
Molecular refinement for wire and drivers.
Tannoy subjects entire crossover assemblies, internal wiring, and critical components to Deep Cryogenic Treatment — cooling to -196°C to relieve mechanical stress in metals at a molecular level. Developed for the Kingdom Royal project and now standard across the Prestige range, the result is a measurable reduction in distortion and a refined, more natural sound.
