T+A Sources
The ultimate disc transport.

The PDT 3100 HV is a purist CD/SACD transport — no internal DAC, no streaming, just the finest possible disc readout. T+A designed and built the entire mechanism in-house: a high-precision linear-tracking drive with dual lasers (650 nm for SACD, 785 nm for CD), mounted on two linear bearings and suspended from a carrier plate machined from a single 25 mm aluminium block. The heavy, shielded mass-damping housing with three-point anti-resonance suspension isolates the mechanism from the outside world. Digital output via AES-EBU or the proprietary IPA link feeds the SD, SDV, or PSD 3100 HV for conversion.
T+A designed the entire disc mechanism from scratch — precision linear bearings, synchronised motor, and custom decoder circuitry for the lowest possible read errors.
Separate 650 nm and 785 nm GaAlAs lasers optimised for SACD and CD respectively — no compromise optics, each laser purpose-built for its format.
The mechanism sits in a heavy, shielded enclosure machined from solid aluminium with three-point anti-resonance suspension — 29 kg of vibration-free precision.
Bit-perfect digital output via AES-EBU (up to 192 kHz/24-bit) and T+A's proprietary IPA link for native SACD data transmission to HV-series DACs.
The absolute reference in digital playback.
The HV source components house their electronics in pure aluminium chassis with five shielded compartments — no ferromagnetic materials, no operational amplifiers, fully discrete double-mono construction throughout. The SD 3100 HV, SDV 3100 HV, and PSD 3100 HV share the same Double-Differential-Quadruple-Converter (DSD1024 / PCM 768 kHz) with Class A HV-technology headphone amplification. The PDT 3100 HV provides a purist SACD/CD transport with custom linear-tracking mechanism, while the MP 3100 HV G3 integrates everything — disc, streaming, and conversion — in a single reference chassis.
