T+A Loudspeakers
Transmission-line refinement, elegant scale.

The Criterion S 230 brings T+A's acclaimed transmission-line technology into a more compact floorstander. Two 170 mm woofers and two 120 mm StarStabilizer midrange drivers are arranged in a Symmetric Directivity System, topped by a 25 mm magnesium-dome tweeter with resonance-dampening coating. The multi-resonator transmission line delivers bass extension to 29 Hz, while the Organic Baffle Design and double-sided FSR crossover with bi-amping capability ensure audiophile-grade performance in smaller rooms.
Folded internal structure tuned to produce controlled standing waves for deep, tight bass response to 29 Hz — no port noise, no overhang.
Concentric driver arrangement with two 120 mm StarStabilizer midrange units flanking the tweeter for even, wide dispersion.
Magnesium dome with special resonance-dampening coating extends to 45 kHz while remaining smooth and fatigue-free over long listening sessions.
Separate FSR crossover boards for bass and mid-high frequencies enable bi-amping and bi-wiring for maximum amplifier control.
Transmission-line precision in an elegant form.
The Criterion S 240 and S 230 use a precisely calculated multi-resonator transmission line to generate standing waves that maximise low-frequency output without port turbulence. The Symmetric Directivity System arranges drivers concentrically for controlled, even dispersion, while the Organic Baffle Design uses internal screw-free anchoring for a resonance-free front panel. FSR crossovers with separate bass and mid-high boards enable bi-amping.
