The SGM 10 is the most compact Super Gold Monitor — a 10-inch Dual Concentric standmount that delivers exceptional clarity and precise imaging from the smallest enclosure in the range. The ferrite motor with copper demodulation rings, 52 mm edge-wound voice coil, and 33 mm aluminium-magnesium dome tweeter achieve 89 dB sensitivity with response to 40 Hz — remarkable for a standmount. Dual front-firing ports on top of the cabinet allow flexible placement, and the Energy Control System provides treble fine-tuning for any room.

First introduced in 1947, Tannoy's Dual Concentric driver places a high-frequency unit acoustically at the centre of the bass/midrange cone. The result is a true point source — one that produces perfect time and phase alignment across all frequencies, delivering a natural, three-dimensional soundstage with a remarkably wide sweet spot that conventional multi-way speakers cannot replicate.
Differential Material Technology
Resonance-free cabinet construction.
Tannoy's DMT cabinet technology uses high-density ply-based laminates made from a combination of materials with different acoustic properties. By pairing layers of differing resonant characteristics, DMT produces extremely rigid enclosures that dissipate energy uniformly rather than storing it — eliminating cabinet coloration and letting the Dual Concentric driver speak with absolute clarity.
