in-akustik Power Cables
Flagship power cable. 40 mm. 16-fold multicore.

The AC-4005 AIR is in-akustik's flagship power cable, featuring the full 40 mm diameter Air Helix architecture applied to mains delivery. Its 16-fold multicore construction splits 2 x 4 mm² of high-purity copper into sixteen individual conductors, creating overlapping magnetic fields that dramatically reduce line inductance and eliminate skin effect. Dense tin-plated copper braid shielding blocks electromagnetic interference, while Referenz UHQ rhodium-plated connectors ensure minimal contact resistance. Each cable is hand-assembled in Germany with an individual serial number and inspection certificate.
The largest diameter in the power cable range, providing maximum air insulation from plug to plug for instantaneous current delivery.
2 x 4 mm² cross-section split into 16 x 0.5 mm² conductors — overlapping magnetic fields reduce inductance and eliminate skin effect across the full spectrum.
Rhodium-plated contacts with superior conductivity, hardness, and corrosion resistance. Available in Schuko-C15 and Schuko-C19 configurations.
Tin-plated copper braid blocks electromagnetic interference and prevents oxidation, keeping mains noise from reaching your components.
Air is the perfect insulator.
Now in its fifth generation, AIR technology uses air as the primary dielectric instead of traditional plastics like PVC. Conductors run freely suspended through the cable via precision-engineered clips at defined intervals, reducing capacitance by approximately 83% compared to standard cables. The Point-to-Point Air Helix architecture extends this principle from connector to connector for almost loss-free signal transmission.
Overlapping fields, lower inductance.
in-akustik's multicore conductor arrangements use four-fold structures where the overlapping magnetic fields of individual conductors deliberately cancel each other out. This reduces inductance and minimises the skin effect at high frequencies, delivering a more neutral, dynamic frequency response.
Air insulation from plug to plug.
Specially designed clips suspend each conductor at fixed distances within the cable, using air as the primary dielectric from connector to connector. Air has the lowest dielectric constant of any insulating material, minimising capacitance, energy absorption, and dielectric losses. The result is instantaneous current delivery on dynamic peaks — no energy is stored and released with delay by conventional plastic insulation.
