Copland Amplifiers
The flagship. Pure valve. Pure music.

The CTA 407 is Copland's flagship integrated valve amplifier — four KT88 beam tetrodes in push-pull ultra-linear mode, delivering 2 × 50 W of high-biased Class A/AB power through three custom toroidal transformers. A pair of 12BH7 driver tubes and a single ECC83 phase-splitter complete the all-valve signal path from input to output transformer. The fully automatic bias system accepts any valve from the 6550/KT88/KT100/KT120/KT150/KT170 family without manual adjustment, and a multi-colour LED diagnostic display shows each tube's health at a glance. Five line inputs, a built-in RIAA MM/high-output MC phono stage, motor-driven volume control, and switchable speaker outputs make the CTA 407 a complete system hub. Designed and hand-assembled in Denmark.
Two pairs of KT88 beam tetrodes in push-pull ultra-linear mode — high-biased Class A/AB delivers most of its 50 W per channel in pure Class A for extraordinary tonal richness.
Auto-bias accepts KT88, 6550, KT100, KT120, KT150, and KT170 output valves — roll tubes freely to tune the sound, with LED diagnostics showing valve health.
Dedicated power and output transformers — custom-wound for Copland — provide clean, isolated power with wide bandwidth and exceptional dynamic reserves.
Built-in RIAA phono stage for moving-magnet and high-output moving-coil cartridges, five line inputs with tape monitor loop, and motor-driven volume control.
Class A/AB purity from KT88, KT150, and beyond.
The CTA 407 runs pairs of KT88 beam tetrodes in push-pull ultra-linear mode with high-biased Class A/AB operation — most of its power is delivered in pure Class A. Three custom toroidal transformers provide isolated, ultra-clean power. The auto-bias system accepts any valve from the 6550/KT88/KT100/KT120/KT150/KT170 family without manual adjustment, letting you roll valves freely and tune the sound to your taste.
No matching. No fuss. Full visibility.
Every Copland valve amplifier features fully automatic biasing — the circuitry measures and adjusts bias current for whatever output valves are fitted, without any manual intervention. The CTA 407 adds a multi-colour LED diagnostic display: blue and green indicate healthy operation, orange signals increasing wear, and red means replacement is due. Swap valves in seconds, not hours.
