The SGM 15 is the flagship Super Gold Monitor — a 15-inch Dual Concentric floorstander that delivers the widest bass response, the most expansive dynamic range, and the most commanding presence of the series. The ferrite motor with copper demodulation rings drives a paper-pulp cone with twin-roll fabric surround, paired with a 33 mm aluminium-magnesium dome tweeter. Triple front-firing ports allow near-wall placement, and the front-panel Energy Control System offers Treble Energy, Treble Roll-off, and Presence Energy adjustments for complete room tuning. The DMT cabinet with internal bracing ensures absolute rigidity.

3-Band Energy Control
Front-panel Treble Energy (±3 dB, 1–30 kHz), Treble Roll-off (2 dB to −6 dB/oct, 5–30 kHz), and Presence Energy (±3 dB, 1–5 kHz) for complete room tuning.

First introduced in 1947, Tannoy's Dual Concentric driver places a high-frequency unit acoustically at the centre of the bass/midrange cone. The result is a true point source — one that produces perfect time and phase alignment across all frequencies, delivering a natural, three-dimensional soundstage with a remarkably wide sweet spot that conventional multi-way speakers cannot replicate.
Differential Material Technology
Resonance-free cabinet construction.
Tannoy's DMT cabinet technology uses high-density ply-based laminates made from a combination of materials with different acoustic properties. By pairing layers of differing resonant characteristics, DMT produces extremely rigid enclosures that dissipate energy uniformly rather than storing it — eliminating cabinet coloration and letting the Dual Concentric driver speak with absolute clarity.
