The Prestige Gold Reference series represents a century of Tannoy craftsmanship. Each speaker is hand-built in the UK using traditional birch-plywood cabinetry, hand-selected real-wood veneers, and Tannoy's legendary Dual Concentric driver with Alcomax Alnico magnets and PepperPot WaveGuide. Deep Cryogenically Treated crossovers, silver-plated internal wiring, and ClarityCap capacitors ensure that nothing stands between the driver and the music.
Dual Concentric Driver
A true point source — the high-frequency unit sits acoustically at the centre of the bass/midrange cone for perfect time and phase alignment.
Alcomax III Alnico Magnets
The highest-tier Prestige models use Alcomax Alnico motors — electrically conductive magnets that nullify eddy currents for exceptionally clean transients.
Cryogenic Crossovers
Hand-wired crossovers with ClarityCap capacitors, laminated-core inductors, and silver-plated cable — Deep Cryogenically Treated as complete assemblies.
Hand-Crafted Cabinets

In 1947, Tannoy's engineers solved a problem that no loudspeaker designer had cracked: how to make a multi-way speaker behave like a point source. Their answer was the Dual Concentric driver — a tweeter mounted acoustically at the centre of the bass/midrange cone, sharing the same magnetic circuit. Nearly 80 years later, it remains the most coherent loudspeaker driver architecture ever built.
